Terms and Conditions

All classes are subject to availability and may be cancelled at any time, under the discretion of the owner.

We have a strict seven day cancellation policy. If less than seven days’ notice is given, you can request a credit, but we will be unable to offer a refund.

Cancellations within 72 hours of your class will receive no refund or credit as it is unlikely that we will be able to fill your spot in this time frame. You are, however, welcome to send someone to fill your spot. Please let us know if you are sending someone in your spot.

If more than seven days’ notice is given, you are entitled to a full refund.

RESCHEDULING

You can request to reschedule your workshop if more than seven days notice is given, and if there is availability of your chosen workshop date.

Please contact piperscreekpottery@gmail.com to request the rescheduling of your workshop.

MISSED CLASSES

If a class is missed, we cannot offer a refund, or make up session. We strongly recommend you set a reminder for your class and ensure you have doubled checked the class dates and times to ensure you can make it. We do not send reminders for your class times.

MINIMUMS & PAYMENTS

We require a minimum of four bookings in order to run a class. If we do not meet this minimum, we may cancel the course at any time and offer you a full refund or credit to attend a class of the same value in the future.

We require a minimum of six bookings in order to run a private event (or cost equivalent). A deposit is required for all classes, workshops and private parties. If a deposit has not been made, your private party will not go ahead.

LIABILITY

Pipers Creek Pottery is not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions. We therefore recommend you leave valuables at home.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY

Pipers Creek Pottery may take photos and video footage of your classes. Please advise us on the day of your class if you do not want to be featured in our footage. We do not offer payment or rights for any footage taken during class. We reserve the right to use our footage on social media platforms and our website.

INFORMING OTHER PARTICIPANTS OF TERMS & CONDITIONS

It is the responsibility of the person booking the class to inform other participating students of our terms and conditions.

FINAL WORKS AND STORAGE OF WORKS

Due to the nature of the materials used, Pipers Creek Pottery cannot be held responsible for outcomes out of our control such as cracks, breaks, misfires, glaze melts, etc. Clay is unpredictable. Sometimes plates will not stay flat no matter how flat they are when making and firing on our flat shelves. Sometimes cracks appear in the kiln due to an air bubble within the vessel, sometimes there may be discoloration of the clay from materials within the clay, and different temperatures from within the kiln. We cannot control this process but we always try to give your pieces the best chance possible. We cannot guarantee perfection and even our very experienced potters have some pieces come out of the kiln with a range of issues. This is the nature of pottery.

We will store your works for up to 8 weeks from your class date. It is your responsibility to arrange a collection appointment within the 8 weeks to collect your work. If pieces are not collected within this time frame, they will be discarded.

If you cannot collect your finished work within this time frame, let us know and we are happy to make alternative arrangements such as posting out your items for an additional fee.
